A group a little down on the beach brought food from the hotel snack bar...and about 40 birds moved over to keep near. I don't know how exactly, but one bird got the treasure and proceeded to lead a chase over the beach back and forth......
that is an every day occurence in Atlantic City. Many people have lost hot dogs, french fries and other food items to gulls. Another thing gulls do well is bomb police hats. I learned real quick when walking the boardwalk beat to not stand under any street lights
Hey, it happens in our favorite resort area too - Disney! Watch those ibises in Frontierland snatch food from unwary kids sitting along the fences eating fries or turkey legs - they'll reach right over your shoulder and grab. And at Flame Tree BBQ - sit out in one of the lakeside pavilions or near the fountain courtyard, and you get surrounded by herons, ibises, and ducks, who will help themselves if you lapse your attention for just a moment! Good shot, Rog. Looks like that bird was right when he said 'Mine!'.
i was the recipient of some bird love in frontierland right outside of peco bill's a few years ago, and was NOT happy.
I do not like the seagulls! I had one knock an ice cream cone right out of my hand. And once on the riverboat, a girl thought that it was so neat that she could feed an ENTIRE flock potato chips. That ruined that "cruise"
