Hummingbird

    I was going through some old photos and came across this little guy. Shot at CLazyU Ranch, Granby Colorado in 2009 with a Canon XS, 55-250mmIS @ f/5.6, 800 ISO, 1/1250 shutter speed. Cleaned up with PS7.0 and NIK Software.

    Awesome shot! ; I love these tiny little creatures. ; I have that lens, James. ; Maybe I'll try my hand at catching a hummingbird! :)

    that's a good shot of a difficult bird, those things are fast, and around here they are a dark green, occasionally some irridescence on the breast, and they do not hover long at all, even at a feeder, but with good reason, we have a lot of coopers and norhtern harrier hawks here, the neighbors have had several doves taken recently from the feeder, thus no birds right now coming around

    Gary they do move VERY fast! I was trying to get a ruby crested one but from what I saw they are very territorial and kept chasing the others away.
