; My name is Roni and I have been lurking here for awhile. ; I own a Canon Xsi and I love WDW with all my heart. ; I have 3 little boys (4 if you count my hubby ). ; One of my favorite things to do in between trips is to look at other's trip reports and photographs and what better place to do that than here (and the DIS where I have been a member for a long time). ; I find many of your photographs inspirational and this year, instead of saying "I wish I could do that" I plan to actually get out there and do it. ; I'd like to get a little more out of my camera and look at it as less intimidating. ; Have been relying way too much on auto mode. : ; Currently waiting to hear if we pass Disney's ROFR on a December Wilderness Lodge contract. ; That place (along with The Polynesian and any ocean) are my little pieces of heaven on earth. :-* ; I hope to become an active member of your community and learn a thing or two along the way. ; I'm really looking forward to 2010 and all the magic it might hold...
Thanks, you guys. Can you tell me where I go to learn how to post photos and ask other beginner questions?
Hmm. 1) Posting Photos: If you have your photos hosted at another site, you can post them in any message (we try to stay in the proper forum, for example Disneyland rather than Magic Kingdom, depending on what your photo is about, taken at, etc. ; We do have a Non-Disney Photos forum too). ; Depending on your site, you will need the direct url, and all you'll have to do is put the full URL inside the IMG tags (see the Mona Lisa button right below the Bold button in the Post/Post Reply screen). ; Now I have my own site and I manage my own database using Gallery 2 software (free), and with a plugin I can get the whole IMG tag copied from the image page to paste into a post. If you don't have your photos hosted some where, click on Additional Options below the text part of the Post/Post Reply screen, and the Attach window should appear. ; Click on Choose File, and you can select a file from your own computer. 2) If your questions are related to photography in general and not a Disney thing in particular, look at the forums in this category: http://www.themagicinpixels.com/forum/i ... llapse;#c4 That's where I would begin. ;
That photo was taken at Skaneateles Lake in central New York. ; It's a really beautiful small town with one of the cleanest lakes in America. ; My kinda place. ; The photo of my husband and middle son was taken at the Wilderness Lodge. ; My other kinda place. :-*
Welcome! ; Glad to have you aboard. ; You should find plenty of inspiration to get out there and shoot - there are some great and very original photographers around here, and a good group of folks if you ever get the chance to meet them/us in person. I agree with you on all the things you love (well, maybe not your husband...haven't met him yet, but probably won't go as far as love!)...water, beaches, Ft. Wilderness, Disney, photography, dogs...all sound good to me. New York is such a stunning state...such a world of difference between the city and the rest of the state, and funny how few people realize it. ; I grew up in New Jersey and spent many a summer upstate in the lakes region in New York...I still miss it.
