herons and hawks

    from forsythe today. with d90 and tamron 200-500 as usual. the hawk shots have a lot of cropping. guess they are practicing there hunting skills as they play tag a lot

    Nice ones! ; I live in Aberdeen, just off exit 117 of the GSP, so I figure about 1.5 hours away?

    this is exit 44 off the GSP and then around 5 miles more south down rt9

    I guess that is about an hour and a half, 73 Parkway miles, plus the 5 miles on 9

    sounds about right.

    I go during the week to avoid the weekend crowds. low tide is good too as it brings the herons and egrets closer as they like to wade in shallow water looking for fish.
