I am going back to the World on Thursday. This is a "no plan" trip - I am not allowed to plan too much. So, I suspect I may be going to the parks alone with my camera. I also scrap book so my challenge is finding new ways to photograph Disney. Any suggestions?

I have done flowers around the world.
    I have done the fireworks.
    I have done the parades.
I have done (somewhat) the ride signs.

Any ideas on some other "themes" I can undertake?

Go to the Picture This! Photoblog (see link in my signature) and select the Disney Pic of the Week category (list on the right side of blog) for lots of ideas. We pick a theme each week.

This week is about snacks at WDW. Yum!

Scott has a great idea. Most of the themes I can think of have already been done by the Picture This! bunch.

You could go around looking at closeup details or unusual things most people overlook. Since it's spring, topiaries would be a good theme. Details on the buildings are always good. Look for good "Where am I?" subjects - take a closeup then a wider angle of the item. Look up - clouds, lights, signs, etc.

Heck, just look around and make a theme out of anything that catches your eye. It's a THEME park, after all! ;D

And above all, share your shots with the rest of us.

I love going around all the parks and challenging myself to get shots that don't look like they are in the parks. Whether it be architecture details, landscaping, shallow depth of field or signs, etc...all of the Disney parks have scenes throughout that can be shot in such a way to not look like a theme park. They end up being really neat and fun shots, really show the incredible detail the imagineers put into the theming and design, and really challenge you to think of odd angles, creative use of lighting, controlling depth of field, and patience in avoiding crowds or people.

I have done a couple of things just for fun. I got the Hidden Mickey book and tried to pics of as many Hidden Mickeys as possible. We have also picked an object to photograph while in the parks such as ice cream carts, lights, trash cans etc. This was actually more fun than it sounds. One thing my wife did was made up a travel story for a Mickey Premium Bar and took pictures of it as if it was enjoying the parks. Of course, Where Am I's are my favorite.

You could concentrate on a certain color and take shots of items with that color or a favorite character.
