Gee, thanks for mooning us! ; ;D I'm confused though; if it was the new Sigma with a 2x, wouldn't it be 500mmx2 and 6.3+2 stops? Or do non-Nikon teleconverters work differently? Erich
I think either the Sigma didn't let the TC transmit or the TC won't transmit the EXIF data. ; I know that Sigma and Tamron both program their big zooms to fake the long end aperture as many non-pro bodies won't even try to autofocus past f/5.6.
it's a quantaray TC. ; the lens' aperture was f/6.3 regardless of the TC. ; you lose 2 stops of light but it's not due to anything inside of the lens. ; it's the extra glass and room created by the TC. ; the photo was the equivalent of 1000mm by using the TC.
OOOOOO, AAAAHHHHH ; I LOVE it. ; Now if I can just get a shot like this myself, I'll be happy. ; I try, but ALWAYS blow it out, even when I try similar settings.
