I was just informed yesterday evening that a Dear Friend has been diagnosed with Bone Cancer. ; :'( This gentleman (Randy) is an avid Disney fan like the rest of us who has been to WDW over 30 times. On one of his trips with his family a few years ago, they rented one of the party boats to go on to the lake for Wishes & he suffered a heart attack right after boarding the boat. He recovered from that & now this. He is a Very Fun loving person who is always ready to joke about everything. He even makes a joke about having the Heart Attack at WDW. His version of the event is to say that he did something at Disney that he has never done before & a very few number of people will ever get to do. He feels like that put him in an elite club. That is just the way he looks at life. Your Prayers would be Greatly Welcomed if you feel so inclined to offer them up for him.
Absolutely - glad to send any prayers and hopes and good wishes for a fellow Disney fan facing a tough road ahead. ; It sounds like he's got one of the most important things to have when facing health issues like that - a great attitude and spirit of life. ; It certainly makes the life there is to live as fun and fruitful as can be, and can help to push through the healing process more quickly too.
Indeed...sending a load of Pixie Dust for the faries to sprinkle on him. ; As you may know, my sister is fighting brain cancer right now. ; I send prayers to his family, too. ; It is terrible to see a loved one go through it and I hope for much success in his treatment ahead. ; My sister has a similiar attitude and it has served her well.
Re: Friend in Need!!! UPDATE Latest news from the doctor is that the form of Bone Cancer he has contracted is "Very Treatable". This is Great News. Thanks to you all for your prayers & support.
:'( This morning brings me hear with a heavy heart. My dear friend & co-worker has succumbed to his illness and has passed on. He began to suffer numerous complications resulting from the cancer & they were just too much for him to overcome. I will miss him dearly. While his name may have been Randy, We all affectionately called him "YODA". Goodbye my friend. ; :'(
So sorry to hear. ; I always regret hearing those turns-for-the-worse situations that happen all too often. ; Hopefully the extra months he had gave him ample time to get closure on anything outstanding in life, and have precious moments with family and friends before moving on. Get through the grief of the loss and cling to the great memories for ever after.
Thanks Guys. I will always remember him as the Fun Loving person we all knew. He never was faced with a situation that he couldn't laugh or joke about & that alone is enough to make me smile. Some people need "things" to make them smile. He simply needed life.
Thanks. It is never easy to let go, but always made easier by the fact they no longer have to suffer.
