spent 8 hours there in lousy light. high wind and overcast

howie, that's a great capture, what really does it for me is that i can clearly see that it's a shrimp it's caught. and when did jersey start getting shrimp that big, couple dozen of them around and that heron would have some serious dinner competition from me. i'm bubba shrimper to the bone

 

thanks Gary. I was wondering what that was that it caught. ; actually I thought it was a small fish with some vegetation. sort of a fish and salad meal. I never realized it could be a shrimp. and jumbo to boot

the cormorant just popped up from under water with the catch. I need to practice this and time it better but once they go under it is hard to figure where they will come up

 

Nice grab anyway, it almost looks like the "food" is looking back and pleading to not be crushed.
