The topic of my blog this week. ; Click on photo to see more photos of these magnificent Canadians. Nikon D700/80-400VR, 1/500s, f/5.6, ISO 2500, EV +0.3, 400mm FL
well done Scott. people where I live hate them and ducks too because of the gifts they leave but I look at them all as part of nature and don't mind them at all even if the carpet bomb along with the gulls
There were some of those around, too. Nikon D700/80-400VR, 1/200s, f/5.6, ISO 1100, EV +0.3, 400mm FL I hear you Howie but the Canada geese made walking along the lake park this summer unbearable with the stench. ; It is getting to the point the Parks department is talking about asking the State for permission to thin the population.
oh it's not that bad here Scott. it is mostly mallard poop and the bombing of cars by gulls. they used to sell bird feed in the shops in Smithville to feed the ducks and geese till they finally wised up and stopped it so the geese are no where near as bad as they used to be Now gulls I have a grudge against as when I walked a beat on the boardwalk it never failed. I either got hit on the shoulder or on my hat. Of course watching the tourists lose either there french fries or hot dog or slice of pizza to the gulls was kinda funny
