Flashlight Photography

I attended Photoshop World when I was in Orlando in April. ; I watched one of the instructors, Dave Black, ; make portraits using only a flashlight as his sole lighting source. ; My grandson, Jason, is going to be a senior in high school this coming year. ; He asked me to take some shots of him with his guitar and drums. ; I had a very expensive light source. ; Earlier that day I went to Walmart and bought a flashlight for $1.99 which included 2 "D" cell batteries. ; I could have purchased the flashlight alone for 99 cents. ; We were in a dark room without windows. ; I was using my Nikon D7000, f 5.6, ISO 100 leaving the lens open for 20 seconds while I painted with the flashlight. ; Nothing else fancy, ; just a stool and a black cloth background.

I've been having some fun playing with the filters in Photoshop.
