    Very nice. ; Reminds me of my trips down to AC for the Miss America Pageant in the 80's (long story). ; Never did get to Ocean City though, wish I had.

    a few years before AC lost the Miss America pageant to Vegas someone beaned the outgoing Miss America in the head with a beer bottle thrown from a roof top during the parade down the boardwalk.
    Ocean City has always been a more family friendly town and a pleasure to visit and good capture Tim

    I warmed it up a bit... ; the corrected white balance seemed a bit too cold...

    Like Ray, makes me yearn for warm Johnson carmel popcorn. ; Oh, yea, the warmth of the photo is good to. ; ;) ; I didn't realize how close your photo was to this one of mine...

    Though I don't have the pier in the background, I do have a surfer and umbrella. ; The warmth was provided by the late afternoon sun in my case.

    when i "added" the warmth, i just used the w/b the way the camera shot it... ; the first time around, i had manually set it off the white paint on the lifeguard stand but that seemed a bit too cold. ;

    nice color pop in the umbrella, scott.

    Howie's comment makes me wonder if TMIP needs a forum for P&S shooters to chimp. ; The one thing I've heard people say when I tell them about TMIP is, "I only have a Point and Shoot" like it's some kind of Scarlett Letter.

    I'm hoping Pixelmania will help bring some more P&S photographers into the fold of the TMIP family

    I think that would be a great idea, Ray. ; Especially as the manufacuturers create hybrid P&S cameras with more and more functionality people may want to upgrade to instead of a dSLR.

    I've been thinking about getting out the P&S I bought last year and using it for a period of time this fall in preparation for Pixelmania. ; I've gotten okay resutls with it but I know it can do better.
