Trees.
 
Ah. I remember a few years ago when they cut back (wayyyy back) the trees on Main Street plaza. I guess it was time to be able to see the castle again!

the trees were cut back in DL and MK so that the low level fireworks effects could be seen from down main street, usa. i remember reading about that awhile back. i think it looks cool with the trees but i like being able to see the castle as well.

I don't remember the trees. I think it would be cool tho. Can someone post a picture? I know Roger posted one but it only showed a little.
 
This isn't a very good photo, but you can see trees off on the sides. This is from July 2005.

Thanks... we went last month for the first time and enjoyed it.
I don't think we will go back though. WDW spoiled us.
