Walt Disney World says it's dreamed up a solution to the impending passport requirements and what it means for families who want to travel on budget.
The company has created a "Passport to Dreams" booklet that not only contains information on how Canadians can go about obtaining their passports, but also offers discounts on vacations to its Florida and Southern California theme parks.

Disney marketing director Bruno Jauering says the Canadian market is an important one.

He believes potentially costly new passport requirements shouldn't be the reason families put on hold or opt out of vacations.

Starting Jan. 23, all Canadians flying to the U.S. will require passports.

The Disney booklet will be available on its website as of Thursday

Starting Monday, Jan. 23, Canadians flying to the United States must have a passport (if you're driving, you have until January 2008 to get one.) To ease the process, Walt Disney Canada is offering a Passport to Dreams booklet with everything from information on how to get your passport to special deals.
"Vacations should not be put on hold or interrupted by the new passport requirements," says Disney's Bruno Jauernig. Special deals include Florida Disney World vacation discounts, free Disney park ticket upgrades, discounted park passes at California's Disneyland Resort, $50 off an Orlando flight and flight discounts for kids, Disney Cruise deals and free Disney gift cards.

For details, visit www.disneyparks.ca or pick up the free booklet at any CAA location.

The Passport to Dreams has been available on the DisneyParks.ca website since last Thursday (Jan.11th)

Sucks for us... we're going in less than a month, it's been booked since fall, and we don't get any deals because we planned ahead *sigh*

Thanks Sean... I figured since it's all already paid, we'd be S.O.L., but I'll have DH call and see if we can get a credit or something....
