(L-R) Colby Marques, Disney Cruise Lines Crew Activity Manager, and Vasquez Fernandez, Disney Cruise Lines Quick Service Manager, load supplies destined for Cayman Brac.

Disney Cruise Line donated 2,000 pounds of relief supplies to the residents of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman when one of its ships docked in Grand Cayman on 18 November.

Between 7 and 8 November, Hurricane Paloma ravaged the Sister Islands, leaving destruction and pain in its wake.

“All of us at Disney Cruise Line consider the Cayman Islands to be a part of our extended community. We are happy that we were able to assist with recovery efforts from Hurricane Paloma by providing these needed supplies,” said Mark Witko, Disney Cruise Line Community Relations Officer.

The donation was accepted by the Department of Tourism (DoT) and comprised of baby food, sheets, blankets, pillows, shoes, garbage bags, clothing items and bar soaps. The items were taken from onboard stores as well as from donations made by the crewmembers.
