    * There are four different locomotives on the Walt Disney World Railroad. They are Walter E. Disney, Roy O. Disney, Lilly Belle and Roger E. Broggie. The first three names are pretty self explanatory (for those who don't know, Lilly is named after Walt's Wife, Lillian). For those who don't know, Roger Broggie was instrumental in helping Walt with his model railroads.

    * The windows on Main St. USA were purposely built lower than normal so children could look through them.

    * The windows on Main St. honor people in Disney history. The companies that are listed with the people have significance as they are related to each person in some manner. For instance, the window dedicated to Frank Wells reads "Seven Summits Expeditions" to honor Frank's love for mountain climbing.

    * Tony's Town Square restaurant is named after chef Tony from "Lady and the Tramp."

    * The sidewalks are a light ride to help contrast the green color of the grass.

    * Tthe firehouse is named Engine Co. 71 to honor the year the Magic Kingdom opened.

    * The "Partners" statue as well as the sculpture of Roy O. Disney were both created by Blaine Gibson, who created the presidents in the "Hall of Presidents" attraction.

    * This fact is somewhat commonly known, but for those who don't know it, each story on the buildings on Main St. are each shorter than the one below using forced perspective to make the buildings seem taller than they actually are.

    * The exceptions to the fact above are the City Hall building, the Welcome Center and the Railroad station. The City Hall was to be the only building that was to be regular size but the Train Station was built that way as well so guests would not see the Castle until they entered the park. The Welcome Center was built to regular size so guests would not see the Contemporary Resort from Main St. and ruin the magic of Main St. USA
