Hi guys, been awhile! I bought a DiCAPac under water rig for my Nikon D50 so I thought I would share my thoughts with you guys. I didn't see any other topics about this so I here it goes:

    1. Yes, it actually works
    2. Expensive at roughly $150 with shipping
    3. trust taking my equipment under water with it? Ya, not to mention most of the time I'm actually above water more worried about splashing or sand.
    4. Easy to use? Well, yes and no, it's a bit on the awkward side but it does work and you have to get used to pulling the lens apparatus snug against your lens to keep the black ring out of the shots.
    5. Bonus! My camcorder fits in there! LOL... I got some great video of me going down the water slide at Stormalong Bay's water slide and essentially drowning at the end.
    6. Some pics: here on my forums ... sorry, don't feel like reposting the pics... the pics are a bit compressed so ignore the quality plz.
    7. What fits in the bag? Well, just about everything, even the flash pops up... I used my Nikon D50 with the 18-200 Nikkor "super lens". Your camcorder may or may not fit, mine is a pretty small MiniDV (JVC GR-D770U) and it works pretty well in there except my zoom button sometimes gets pushed unexpectedly. I even get sound through the bag.
    8. More info on the product here.

    Hope everyone is well,

hi, mike, and thanks for the mini-review. i have been eyeballing similar things for my camera as well and they are crazy expensive when you get into underwater d/SLR housings. that said, my wife has been asking me for a compact point and shoot so i might have to get one of these... maybe there will finally be a kali river rapids gallery after all!

I took it down a good 5 feet and not even a drop in there... it's got a pretty nice sealing system (zip lock, Velcro then roll and Velcro again). I never even thought of Kali when I bought this... off to AK I go LOL.
