The new show is similar but much better technically. It goes from song to song with not much storytelling. However, the songs and presentation of those songs are wonderful. As before, the challenge is having to photograph through the screen in front of the stage used for animation and other effects.
Photographed with a Nikon Z9 and NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 lens. A faster lens would be very useful for this show.
The new marquee.
In the original show, Ariel never left her seat as a mermaid. In the new show, she starts out the same during the opening song of "A Part of Your Wold".
1/125s @ f/5.6, ISO 4000
In the next song, "Under the Sea", she joins in and swims!
1/125s @ f/4.2, ISO 10,000
Finale of "Under the Sea"
1/60s @ f/4, ISO 10,000
Ursula
1/60s @ f/5.6, ISO 9000
"Kiss the Girl" photos
1/125s @ f/6.3, ISO 7200
1/125s @ f/4, ISO 3600
I was on the wrong side of the theater to get a good pic of Ursula getting her comeuppance. But this is how Ariel got her legs.
1/125s @ f/6, ISO 10,000
Happy couple (much better lighting on the actors at the end of the show)
1/125s @ f/6.3, ISO 560
I like this one with King Triton in the background.
1/125s @ f/6.3, ISO 1250
The End
1/125s @ f/4, ISO 2000
