The faster charge of the BC900 might be tempting, but it actually does a disservice to the battery life. FWIW, it is believed by many that the Sony batteries are rebranded eneloops. In any case, they are an excellent product.
Costco sells a pack of enelop's that comes with 8 AA and 4 AAA, plus adapters. You insert the AA into the adapter and can use it as a C or even D cell battery. The whole set is like $29. and well worth it. We use them for our Wii-mote's and my son's flashlight. They last forever and recharge quickly.
