I opted for the loose crop to show just how empty Main Street was (that's the point of the picture...no one is anywhere around):
If you hang around the park well after closing, when the last bit of stragglers are exiting the park, you can get shots like this! I did this a few years back, and a friend and I hung around New Orleans Square and walked SLOWLY back to the Main Street area. It was like we had the park to ourselves! It was kind of eerie walking such a distance without seeing a single soul for at least 10 minutes! This way you can get some excellent shots, but when you get back to Main Street, be prepared to get ushered out quickly by Cast Members. So get all the shots you can and you can weed out the worst when you get back to your hotel.
Evening Extra Magic Hours ran until 3 a.m.; we took our time taking pictures and left after that. No special arrangements or anythings. We were the last non-CMs at the park to leave (I know this because the manager who walked with us to our bus told us so, and "released the buses").
Here's my Cinderella Castle photo (one of many, many, many!) [This attachment has been purged. Older attachments are purged from time to time to conserve disk space. Please feel free to repost your image.]
Very cool! I love how you never feel rushed to leave; even when you start feeling guilty for being there so late.
