Cattle grazing IN the Colorado River

The guide mentioned right before this that during the dry years the cows would always be down here for the water, but since we've had a wet year they haven't been - hey wait there they are!

and here's one all alone.

looks like inland Florida in the summer time. It is a funny sight to see a herd of cattle standing around in shoulder height water. That leaves no doubt in your mind you have left the coastal beaches and are in "old" Florida!
