Re: Catle, Carousel and Beanstalk? D'oh, never noticed the beanstalks before. ; Took me a second to get my bearings as this is an angle not seen much.
Took one of my rare moderator privileges to add an 's' to the word castle...which I'm sure was intended. ; Mostly I did it for me, as I spent several minutes looking for a cow in the photo before I realized the intended word! ; It is a very cool angle - hadn't noticed that angle before myself...and I have to say I never noticed a beanstalk!
I really like the angle. ; Did you take it from Dumbo? Beware of things that can be found around beanstalks:
It looks like it would be Sir Mickey's that is to the left of the castle (if looking at the backside). ; And I was wondering about the height also, but taking it from Dumbo definitely makes sense. ; (and the placement would be right depending on what part of the flight path your are on)
Oh yeah! ; There is a beanstalk around Sir Mickeys! ; I wasn't placing it, but that jarred my memory. ; Went back through photos and found I had a bit of it here: Wow...guess that means it's officially been too long since I've been to Disney (Feb!!!). ; Good thing I'm likely headed up next month. ;
Yes, the giant is peeking into Sir Mickey's. ; The shop's theme is based on the 1938 short Brave Little Tailor.
I can't remember where exactly I was standing for this shot. I just sort of stood in the street and took a bunch from different angles at different times of day.
I checked out the location. ; Standing between the carrousel and Snow White, I could see the castle with the beanstalk in front of it. ; Since it looks like the shot was taken with a telephoto, I think it was taken a little farther away than that.
It is just such a different angle. ; Looking at the photo again, the beanstalks are on the peaks of the building. ; But initially it gives you the sense that you are looking at the castle from higher up than you actually are. ; Almost like throwing the camera up in the air with the delay shutter on
I did not have a telephoto lens with me. I'll ask my husband if he remembers where we were, but he's not the Disney fanatic I am so he'll probably answer "Fantasyland"! ;-)
