I keep coming back to this photo. ; This time I used Aperture 2's color dropper to selectively enhance the different colors in the sky. ; Re-cropped, re-sharpened and this is the result. I showed another version awhile back on TMIP here: http://www.themagicinpixels.com/forum/h ... ic.php?t=4 Now, here's the original... Nikon D70/80-200D, 1/250s, f/8, ISO 400, EV -0.6, 80mm focal length
Nice. ; I would clone out the Tinkerbell wire. ; I like that you darkened the Castle a bit. ; It works better as a silhouette in my opinion.
Agreed that the redo is much better. ; I also agree that the tink wire should be cloned out. ; I almost always do that in my shots. ;
Here's the problem I have found with both the Repair and Clone tools, Roger. ; When I get close to an edge, it pulls in elements of the edge. ; I'm worried about the castle edge where the line starts. ; Maybe I need to change a setting or something. ; It looks like a splash.
Thanks, everyone. ; I had fun working with the image and learned a lot which is helping me with other photos. ; As you can see, I do want to clean up Tink's line there once I learn how to do it without screwing up the castle.
If you sample from the right area, you don't have that problem with the clone stamp tool. ; The spot healing brush tool is a crapshoot, in my opinion. ; It's too imprecise. ; I'd rather just use the clone tool.
I think Figment's response was for PS....work with the edge detection settings and also use a smaller repair circle, that's what I would try.
Repair but I had to zoom in and spot repaired next to the castle. ; It took a couple of tries before I get it right. By using zoom, I was able to use a reall small brush size, too. The rest of the wire was easy.
