Ok so it's not Disney but it's the best we got. I ordered ; our season passes today for Canada's Wonderland it opens in two weeks does anyone else go regularly? At least it's a sure sign of spring in Canada.
We have yet to go to Wonderland... ; it's on the list of places to go on a Toronto trip. ; Most trips to the city are work related. ; I'm there on the 30th, but drive in early for a 6 hour meeting and then come home. ; Hmmm... must be time in there to get to Vaughn Mills!!!!
Used to be season ticket holder but only go about once a season now. ; Planning on taking friends on July 5th. Yes, be sure to drop by VM and say "HI" to the CM at the DS! Speaking of which, if you need tix, for WDW, buy them soon, as a mouse has told me that the prices may be going up soon!(no longer selling at par).
haven't been since I was little...but I am hoping to take the little guy next summer (probably his birthday weekend)
We have been there a lot. Usually get seasons passes - not this year yet. ; It is absolutely not Disney in any way whatsoever, but it is a stop gap measure to help with the withdrawal symptoms of Disneyfever. The park was having it's issues as a Paramount Park, but since Cedar Fairs has taken over (2006??) there have been some excellent improvements particularly in the food choices/value. Good mix of rides for young and old Decent shows Excellent funnel cakes! One of my BIG pet peeves with CW is that they do not enforce their smoking policies very well including in line-ups! Staff are not particularly friendly (at least not up to WDW standards) but they are courteous and generally helpful. Have fun!
I've only ever been to Toronto twice, and that was just passing through, so I can't say I've ever been there. Around these parts, the seasonal amusement park is Calaway Park. It used to be alright, way back when it first opened and half of it had a Flintstones theme. I also spent many a childhood summer in the Okanagan Valley visiting the Bedrock City park there, so it was nice to have a local variation. Unfortunately, it's deteriorated a lot since then. The Flintstones licence is gone, though much of the theming remains. The haunted house - originally based on the Frankenstones - has gone to total pot. In the mean time, it seems like all the rides are based on the idea that spinning around in a circle really fast is AWESOEM!!1! When I make my first billion, I totally want to buy the damn thing and fix it up as a Canada-themed park. Kinda' like EPCOT but with rides. That don't all spin in circles.
My daughter and I are going to go to Annual Pass previews tomorrow can't wait to ride some rides again.
