since I dont have a macro lens I tried it with the 55-200 vr. I can see I need practice

You'll need lots of light if you step down. ; You might try popping it with the flash at something like -2 power to enhance the exposure.

 

I was thinking of f9 or 10 just to get a little more in focus and if needed going to iso400 but willing to try with flash too. thanks for the tip
