Boston in a Day

I detailed my whirl wind tour of Boston with Karen Young as playing tour guide on my blog.. Let me tell you, Karen as a tour guide is quite entertaining.

Before meeting up with Karen, my wife and I wandered around the Seaport District.

The entire day was overcast and rainy. I used Skylum's Intensify CK Soft HDR filter to pull out details and colors in the flat looking scenes.

With Karen, we visited many of Boston's historic locations along the Freedom Trail like Faneuil Hall near the Quincy Market.

The previous photos to the contrary, the Old North Church was our first stop with Karen.

Here's a close up of the large plaque on the steeple.

Behind the Old North Church is a Memorial Garden which honor the men and women in the Armed Forces and the civilians who lost their lives in the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars using blank dog tags for each of the fallen.
