    I have been trying to get a decent shot of these birds since I have moved here. ; Birds are a little bigger in Florida than they are in NJ.

    In this first shot, I boosted the color and was pleased with how the coloring of their feathers came out. ; The other shots aren't boosted, so you can see what they really look like.

    Yeah! ; They actually hang out in the area of my house. ; I have seen them up the block a bit, but never too far from here. ; Their nest must be close by someplace.

    Those are sandhill cranes. ; One of our many interactive Florida birds that you'll see in your yard regularly...along with ibis, cattle egret, great egret, snowy egret, and possibly great blue heron (if you have water nearby).

    Fun, isn't it!

    Wow, I never would have guessed that the feathers have that much variation in them. I wonder if the birds themselves see that, or the more muted colors we see normally.

    Thanks Justin! ; I can't wait to see what else I can come across here. ; I am surrounded by lakes so I think I might stand a chance to see all of those water loving species also. ;

    I was shocked to see that color variation in the feathers myself. ; I mean you can kind of see it in the "normal" shot, but it really pops when I boosted the colors. ; Thanks for the comments.

    A pair of these woke me up at Pop Century a fews years ago. ; They can be loud! Like the first shot, Justin, showing all the feather details.
