Anyone got an extra dSLR and a couple of flashes laying around. ; Maybe Disney could add a camera to their moving trash cans. ; How about an RC boat for roving the marshes of national wildlife refuges?

You just knew this wasn't going to be far behind. ; Though using a Canon 7D is surprising. ; Must be very confident in flying this contraption.

Both of those are neat, but we need a UUV (Unmanned Underwater Vehicle) version for operations in Bay Lake.

That's really cool. ; I don't think I would ever put my camera on one of those, but its still really cool.

I'm working on a much cruder setup. ; I've got a little bitty RC plane that can just barely lift an inexpensive lightweight digital camera that I picked up for just that purpose. ; But even then it gets awfully heavy and difficult to control. ; No pan or tilt control, I just strap it to the plane in the angle that I want to take pictures from and have a remote shutter release to take the pictures.

I've got a smallish RC helicopter that could probably deal with similar weight loads. ; But I'm still not happy with how it's set up, I need to work to get it running smoother. ; At the moment the gyro has an issue, it's supposed to keep it heading in the same direction but it constantly rotates the copter to one side. ; Apparently that's likely a vibration problem, I've got a few things to look into there.

For another take on the flying camera setup, I also fly kites with a local kite group. ; One of them is into "kap", or kite aerial photography. ; He's got an RC based rig with pan and tilt control that can hang below a kite, I've seen it on the ground but didn't see it put into the air.

You want to see some really cool stuff, there's a guy on youtube using a fairly sophisticated live video platform on a still smallish RC plane. ; I can't provide any links at the moment, I'm having big problems with youtube, all too often I can't get data streamed from it fast enough to view video in real time. ; My basic ISP connection is still fast, I'm starting to fear that they're using traffic shaping to keep people from accessing youtube. ; But if I can get a decent enough connection to youtube (sometimes late at night I get it working) for a few minutes I'll track down some of the stuff this guy has done, some of the things he's flown his little plane over.

Wow... as an electrical engineering student I'm getting ideas!
