Last Thursday we woke up and Good Morning America was doing a whole thing on the opening of the American Idol attraction. They were at DHS. My first thought was - how cool. David Cook and David Archuleta are right down the sidewalk. My second thought was "oh crap, were supposed to go to DHS today - its going to be a nightmare". This was the day of the parade and everything too. We decided to brave it and as we walked in found out GMA was still going on with a mini David Cook concert! We obviously could not get up close to the stage (Im still not sure how those people got wristbands) but we still had a pretty good view. (As we walked toward the hat) We went around by the boat (the name escapes me at the moment and definately had some better views David Cook being interviewed by GMA's Sam Champion Smile youre on television! Sound check! Dad wanted a picture of the cameras Im not sure If I like the gold moon and stars Everybody clap!! Have I mentioned that my 55-250 lens is my best friend?? We obviously did not stay for the craziness that was the afternoon parade. We heard on GMA that they had confirmed 6 of the 7 winners were coming (my mom asked a cast member about it and he was trying to be secretive about it. We told him they already announced it on GMA). Besides, I had a date at TSM! We got fastpasses. When it was our turn, the lady rerouted us (just my family) up this hallway where we walked right on to our ride vehicle!
