I found a SpectroMagic postcard that I believe was shot using a Star Filter:

It got me thinking about all the places one could use a Star Filter at WDW. So, my question is whether any of you do? I played around with a Star Filter effect in Photoshop, but I don't think it's as crisp as an actual Star Filter. At the same time, I'm not how useful it would be, and since I'm an infrequent visitor, I'm concerned that I might overuse it and have some shots irreparably damaged because I used it (whereas if I use the less effective filter on CS3, I can always "undo").

    Your thoughts?

I took a few rolls with both a 4 pt and a 6 pt star filter ten years ago at DL.

I think my main problem was that there are so many lights on Main Street and Tomorrowland that the effect was kind of ruined.....It may be useful in some areas of the parks, but personally I'm not too fond of them.

I have a 6-point star filter that I took to WDW a few years ago, but the only good shot I got was a tripod shot of the BAH:
