    Since Pixelmania will be at WDW during the same timeframe, I was wondering if anyone was going to be signing up for a chance to be in the Christmas Parade tapings and taking pictures of the of event.

    Here's the official site with the info.... http://www.active.com/framed/event_deta ... ID=1804465

    I'll make that the determination when the schedule for Pixelmania comes out. ; That will be my first priority.

    I saw this posted on another forum, and a couple of other people didn't have too many positive things to say about the experience. ; I know if I were there, Pixelmania would be my top priority. ; I think all of those events (even without seeing a schedule) will be a heck of a lot more fun than standing around for a parade tapping.

    I was there on the Christmas Parade filming day in 2006 quite by accident-

    - The celebs were kept far away from the public- not that I cared about that so much but don't expect to meet Regis or any guests
    - The floats were nothing special the year I was there- just the MVMCP ones with a few pirate and princess stuff worked in
    - It was blazing hot like August and the poor CM's were dancing down Main Street wearing winter clothes and scarves like it was supposed to be cold- dance- now stand and wait- now dance- etc. I felt really bad for them
    - The parade takes HOURS to go by- forever- because it is filmed in segments for television in between filming of bits and talk segments for the special
    - Main Street is completely bottlenecked with the only way in-out is the behind the scenes route they use to clear the park sometimes ;
    - The entire area in front of the train station is closed for the stage. ; (The flagpole is down- maybe the only positive as with perfect timing a straight on picture of the castle without it may be possible.)

    To each their own but I will be staying far away from the MK that day. ; ::)

    Yikes! Looks like it's somewhere to actually stay away from rather than attend :D

    Thanks for the insight folks!

    I agree with Jeff, Main street is a bear to deal with. ; A good day to stay away from MK.
