We are DVC members that have been going to WDW once a year for the past 4 years. ; We are thinking of getting annual passes and planning our trips to get 2 trips in the 1 year for the annual pass. ; Has anyone else out there done this??? ???
First of all, welcome to the Magic. ; We are DVC members and purchased discounted annual passes back in feb/09. ; Used them for 9 days then. ; We are back in WDW in August, October and December. ; We will more than get our monies worth. ; Not sure if we will re-new them though since we are booked on DCL transatlantic cruise with a few extra days in Barcelona. ; So that will eat up a fair bit of our vacation. If you can work 2 vacations into the pass, definately get it. ; There is also some small perks you get with it that you do not get with the DVC membership card.
An Annual pass is good if you plan on making more then one trip per year. So say you were going down and it would cost you 250 dollars for your park tickets and you planned on taking another trip within the year then it would be worth it ... But if you only planned to make one trip or two very short trips you would want to purchase park tickets. In realfam cases it is very worth it because they make more then one trip per year. Which saves them a lot of Money. Being an Annual pass holder also gives additional discounts..
As long as you use it for more than 10 days, which I believe is the breaking point, well worth the cost! Just a word of caution...............once you have an AP, you seem to make more trips!LOL
So what your saying is, you save on the entrance, but it costs you a ton of money more on airfare, DVC add-ons, foods, drinks and souvenirs........ Ah now I get why those passes are making me broke......LOL ;D TOO ; Funny, but so true
I call it the Dominoe Affect! You have an AP, you get cheap flights from Buffalo, you make great family memories.........So you have to do all again!LOL
