possibly the highlight day of the cruise, hired a car and driver with another couple for a 9 hour day, hit the big 3 villages, positano, amalfi, ravello
the scenery is breathtaking, words and photos almost cannot do it justice

Ahh ... the Amalfi Coast. Lovely.

My family is from that region of Italy. I could almost kick Grandpa for leaving : ) Of course, I guess if his family hadn't emigrated, I wouldn't be here today ... ah well.

Nice pics, Gary ... but I agree. It's almost impossible to do it justice.

great stuff Gary. Brings back some memories from the early 70's when I did Med Cruises in the Navy. I almost wish I was in the Navy again so I could see all that beauty again and have an slr this time. Did you see the casino in Monte Carlo ?
 
chimping away worldwide, i didn't even realize until tonight while starting to prep the full amalfi gallery that i had caught half the tourists in this photo chimping
i was proud of myself that day, other than the occasional chimp because of iso/lighting changes i didn't chimp much at all
