Here's the view from your room balcony after the sun goes down. It's a great view. You can hear all the noises from the park, the boats horns, buses running. It is a neat experience. Nice stuff! I really like 4594...haven't ever seen any shot quite like that one - a very unique angle peering into Magic Kingdom and seeing Splash Mountain loom in the background like that! Must have been using alot of zoom there. There are just so many neat experiences staying at the Disney hotels...and you've certainly mentioned one of them - the Contemporary tower rooms facing Magic Kindgom are fantastic for the view and the sounds radiating up from the ground. Then you've got the Boardwalk rooms on the lake, with all the action beneath your balcony and a beautiful view...The Polynesian which takes on such a lovely night atmosphere with the tikis lit and the quiet paths and beach...The Fort Wilderness cabins with the wildlife rustling through the woods just outside your window and the wind blowing through the pines, and the late night golf cart rides through the roads down to the lakeside, avoiding possums and deer along the way...Or the Key West condos - those on the waterways watching the Marketplace boats motoring to and from, or those on the golf course with the beautiful views and watching morning golfers while sipping coffee on the patio...Or Animal Kingdom Lodge waking to the grazing animals outside your balcony... Man...now I want to go spend a week at each of these Disney properties back to back!
thanks. yes, thats all 400mm. That's all I got, no more!! Your'e right about staying at the resorts. It's so much better than off property. When we first got married we could only afford to stay off hwy 27 about 30 mins away. The econolodge there was only $23.00 a night. heres a memory like one of yours: probably 10 years ago, Dina and I stayed at Dixie Landings, One of our favorite hotels. We always had breakfast at Bon'Familles. I always got "Satchmos Skillet". Anyway, one morning we were up very early, got a cup of coffee and went and walked around the sidewalks on the river and then just sat on a bench and watched the world go by. Joggers, walkers, families, one guy even had a drawing pad and was busy drawing something. That was a very relaxing nice morning. [This attachment has been purged.
