children, if you listen you can still hear it echoing in the hills of pennsylvania, the joyous full throated social call of the grillbilly, gathering under the stars for nothing but the finest bluegrass, live, loud, long, picking the way nature intended it to be
and you can't go wrong when the bluegrass brothers open their first set with a searing version of the stanley brothers tale of hard times "sharecropper's son"
here they are, from salem virginia, please make welcome, THE BLUEGRASS BROTHERS
and the way they travel, 1987 silver eagle, formerly owned by the statler brothers

and sometimes the story is not on the stage, it's in the parking lot jams, in the hands that so lovingly cradle and play these acoustic instruments

thanks to all, and props again to my main man tim, his loving tutelage the last couple of mousefests has helped me up my game, to the point where i just found out i'm going to be the official photographer for the oats bluegrass festival next year, and some of my photos this year will be what they use for next years flyers and promo brochure, and sponsorship package proposals
so here they are, all the way from morgantown west virginia, that old timey mountain band, THE HILLBILLY GYPSIES

and quite possibly the coolest tattoo in all of bluegrass, the shoulder of the fiddle player from one of the bands, taken with permission, now that's dedication to your creative outlet

Loooks great Gary...but unfortunately it's all just lacking something.

Without the soundtrack to go with it...it just ain't no fun! ; :)

Congrats on the photo job, and for being lucky enough to enjoy the music and the fun.
