A peahen and her pride

    I was a bit perplexed by the thread title. I now know what a peahen is. Thanks :)

    It took me a while to find out what you call a group of peafowl. I got muster, somethingelse and pride. Hmm. So I took pride. I think this was the first time I remember ever seeing one. Most of the time you normally see the males.

    That's really neat. And I appreciate the search for the proper name of a group. As a side note.. my favorite group name for a type of animal is "exaltation of prairie dogs". I know I've heard it before.. but now that I look for verification I can't find any reference to it.

    My local zoo has male and female peafowl on display, although perhaps more male than female due to the whole colorful display thing.. but I've never seen babies. I assume they must be some at some point, though.
