This is the day my camera began to give me issues, so I don't have as many as I would like to have BUT, Pixelmania is a comin'! Jack Sparrow (not sure if this is the guy that fell the very next day after this show.) I didn't even realize I caught this till I got home and uploaded this.
Nice closeup of dad there on the carousel. The Jack Sparrow you photographed is safe...it was actually the man playing the assistant, Mack, that tragically died. And I had the same experience as you with the Haunted bride - I had two shots, and didn't even notice I had caught the axe in one of them until I reviewed them on my monitor.
Thanks, yeah my son was picked by Mac, when he comes out, to guard the stage, and unfortunately my camera hadn't come back to life yet. The other bride shot I got is from behind the curtain that is there as you leave the room.
Excellent capture of the bride on HM. ; So did the CM before Carousel of Progress only give the "No Flash Photography" instruction, or did you break the rules? ; Not trying to call you out, I just got the 'no photography' instruction each time we visited it on our recent trip (which was 5 times), and I found it a bit irritating, especially when there was no one near us in the theater. That said, I came back with a couple shots from CoP, too. ; Don't tell anyone...
Every now and then a CM will state "no photography" in places where it's "no flash photography"....had that happen at AA once. ; The CM outside said the former, the one inside said the latter. ; I followed the latter.
I look at it like this, as long as they say no flash photography, I'm going to try to catch what I can without the flash.
Thanks Mike and Cooleo! ; That shot of Jack was another nice surprise, because I didn't realize I had caught it until I looked at them later that night.
Great shots, especially as close ups! ; Very impressed by the Haunted Mansion pic. ; I can never get anything to come out in that ride!!
I stumbled across the shutter priority setting on the camera and since I didn't have a fast enough lens to use aperture priority, I gave it a shot, pushed it a little and got lucky. ; I would imagine that if I had a faster lens the shot would be easier to get.
