So I was driving Sean's car home when all of a sudden drywall from the roof of a van beside me snapped in half and there was no time to react. These aren't great photos, but they certainly do tell a story. Luckily this was the worst damage. Now I sit really close to the steering wheel because i have really short legs, The glass is too close for comfort. This is my view driving down the three lane highway going 100km/hr (not sure what that is in mileage) KK
YIPES! 100 km/hr is about 62 mph. glad to see you're ok but that would have given me quite a start! hope you got a license plate or the name of the contractor.
Might not have been a contractor. Also, I'll bet that their insurance company will deny liability. (who can foresee that drywall would snap in half?) Doesn't mean that they're not liable tho. (but it reminds me of the trucks here in TX. 'no liability for broken windshields, stay back 500 feet' in text so small you need to be tailgating them to be able to read the warning)
Well he was some sort of contractor, and luckily he did stop. Although he gave me a heart attack when he ran across the highway to see if I was ok. And standing (because I would have gotten cut worse sitting in the car) in the line of traffic until the cops came was definitely terrifying. We are in the process of dealing with insurance so I so hope that doesn't happen. That would not be good.
