150 feet above the St. Lawrence River (Added Pano)

    Walked up the US span of the 1000 Islands Bridge yesterday and took this with the Tokina 11-16 UWA at 11mm. Click photo for larger version. ; See pano image in reply below.

    Thankfully, Roger, the 1000 Islands Bridge was built correctly and has stood for 70 years without such a problem. ; In fact, it's a good thing it moves or it would suffer the save fate as the Tacoma bridge. ; Those engineers blew it. (pun intended)

    PM, it's the first sun I've seen in two weeks. ; Back to rain today...sigh.

    Now that my blog article has been posted I can show you the panoramic I did. ; This was done hand held because putting a tripod on a moving bridge would not have been of much help. ; I waited for a break in the traffic and fired off four exposures with about 20-25% overlap. ; The software had no trouble stitching them together though I should have straightened it a bit.
