This is the place to post your photos of the original Main Street USA (excluding Town Square, because has its own thread).

Another example of the similar-but-different feel of Disneyland: In Disneyland, where you expect to find Casey's Corner, you actually see the Refreshment Corner.

I find the spelling of a particular word on Rolly's window to be a bit bizarre.

It's the age old problem of a love triangle, on public display in a store window on Main Street.

Walkin' right down the middle of Main Street. Right in my way, blocking my view. Maybe someday it will happen again.

The Disneyland flag retreat is different from the one in WDW. In Florida, they honor one veteran. In Disneyland, they ask all veterans to stand around the flag in Town Square while the Disneyland Band plays the songs of the five military branches. (Did you know that the Coast Guard has its own song?) No matter which park you are in, you should watch the flag retreat at least once per visit. And be thankful for those who serve their country whether by choice or by law.

It's a little bit Main Street and a little bit Fantasyland, but it's totally Christmas.

monday 12/11/23, the first view, entering the holy land, this was indeed a long held bucket list item, to make a trip to the original, to walk in walt's footsteps. and what a trip it was. worth every bit of the tired legs and hurting feet, it's going to take awhile to cull and process 6283 photos.

and this is a magnificent piece of actual fire equipment, a steamer that many departments would have had at the turn of the century, when firefighting was mainly to save the surrounding buildings from catching, not the interior aggressive attack currently in favor.

The Disneyland Halloween lamp post banners are familiar yet different.

When you think of Disneyland, you see this. Though maybe your mind sees it in daylight.

Disneyland's Candlelight Processional is on a "blink and you'll miss it" schedule. It's only performed on the first full weekend in December, with two shows on Saturday and two on Sunday. The choir and orchestra perform in front of the train stations. There is a small section of reserved seats in the hub which are only available to the privileged few. Everyone else has to stand on Main Street.

This photo was taken on a Tuesday afternoon in 2018, four days before the first performance..
