I believe the Keepers trim them. In the natural world, they get huge. Sadly, people think the horns have some sort of healing or other properties which leads to illegal poaching. In essence, they are made of the same thing our finger nails are made of.

"You think I could jump that moat and get at that truck load of soft chewy looking prey?"
"That truck over there? With all those colorfully dressed fleshy things?"

I finally get a clear shot of a mandrill on Monkey Island, and he doesn't have the decency to look at the camera. :(

At the end of a long day dodging safari vehicles and trying look interesting, you just can't wait for quitting time.

Why do I have to stay here with you boring old adults? I want to go play with the warthogs.

How about some low-altitude bird watching? Really low altitude.

The white rhinos are usually out in the open. Black rhinos, however, are more likely to be hanging out in their back yard than strolling out front like this one.

This tree trunk will scratch that itch. Now if I could just find my ear hair trimmer...

After a hard day's night, there's nothing like a morning nap.
