2018 nybg orchid show

    indeed, we find ourselves another year on, still on the good side of the dirt, so sunday i went to the ny botanical garden, had not been there since november, this time of year it is the orchid show, actually due to bad weather on a lot of the weekends and some other stuff, i ran it right down to the wire on this years show, since it officially ends 4/22

    had i known about this installation, i would have brought a zoom or a wide angle along, as it was i decided to put a lens i bought last year through its paces on the A9, to get a feel for how it works, i kind of like it, it is a sony 90mm f2.8 macro, i have rented and used the canon 180mm and had the 100mm, but i never used it as much as i should, so it was a lot of experimentation with depth of field day, some times it worked and sometimes not

    best i could do with how close i was standing to this tubing interwoven with orchids that was the theme piece at the entrance into the conservatory

  3. WOW! I thought I knew Orchids but there are dazzling with their variety of shapes and colors.
