Disney has been full of surprises lately. The latest one is that tickets for the Halloween and Christmas parties are now on sale. The other surprise is the only way to get them, as of mid-March, is to call Disney at (407) 939-1872. They are not yet available on-line.

If you are attending Pixelmania and want to go to the party with us, get your ticket for Friday, October 26. There are typically no discounts for Friday parties other than advance purchase. @Joanie Eddis-Koch says she paid $116.09 for her ticket.

For the newcomers, the group normally tries to photograph at least one parade from The Point in Town Square looking up Main Street. We also try to shoot the fireworks and the ladies sitting outside of the Haunted Mansion. Costumes and candy are not a priority, so if these are an important part of your party plans you can do them on your own.

(Personally, I like to attend a second party on a different night so I can be a kid again, wearing a fun costume and grabbing all of the candy I can get. Then on Friday I can have fun with the gang and not regret missing out on the full Halloween experience.)

Well, I have to when I order an adult beverage. It's the law.

Where can these be purchased? I was just on the WDW site and it says they’re not available yet. Thank you

They're doing a strange pre-sale by phone. Call 407-939-1872. Make sure to write down the confirmation number in case the ticket doesn't link to your account properly.

That information is also in the first post of this thread. And yes, it's another money grab, forcing us to pay for a long-distance call.

Thank you, guess I skipped right over that first post. Yes another phone call. I had to call the other day for Annual Pass information, they don’t send you an Annual Pass in the mail, they’re all ‘Will Call’ pickups?

yes, you need to go guest services at any park with photo id, the card used to pay for the pass and the confirmation number, and it takes a solid 10 minutes to complete everything, it seems the cast member has to type in a lot of stuff and what appears to be a lot of long numbers strings, but the good news is you only have to do it once a year

You shouldn't have to go to guest relations. Mine shows up in my Disney experience

perhaps it is because my AP is a dvc discount pass, but i always have to go to guest relations for some reason to activate it the first time i use the new one

Never mind. You're correct. You do have to go activate it the first time. I didn't have to go to guest relations last time because it was a renewal.

But even with a renewal you have to go to Guest Services to get your discount card. I was chastised by a CM for not having a current card.

Are guest services located outside the parks then? Never paid much attention. We had everything tied to our magic bands. I thought maybe it was in My Disney Experience? So you have a card to show every time

The AP is tied to your My Disney Experience account and Magic Band so you can use the band to enter the parks after you turn in the voucher and activate the AP the first time you use it.

The ticket booths outside the park entrances can do the voucher exchange.

They give you a card that identifies you as an AP which you need in order to get any AP discounts you're entitled to. The card also has a chip in it so you can use it at the turnstiles in place of your magic band if you wanted to. They also give you a little booklet listing all the current discounts for reference.
