Here's a place to put your photos from the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival that aren't attraction- or country-specific.

Tinker Bell's butterfly garden is always a great place to spend some time. I may need to rent a macro lens for my next visit. This is a white peacock butterfly.

The message on the bottom of this sign was nice touch during the festival.

Don't stick your hand out, and, most importantly, don't smile!

I was so intently concentrating on getting the flowers in this shot that I forgot to wait for a monorail to enhance the background. :(

Remember my first post in this thread, where I mentioned renting a macro lens for my next trip to the Flower & Garden Festival? Well, thanks to our friends at Kingdom Camera Rentals, I did just that. Equipped with the Nikon 105mm f/2.8 Micro, my first stop was the butterfly garden. Here's another white peacock butterfly, up close and personal. As you can see, the depth of field is pretty shallow, but the details are pretty sharp. I'd like to play with the lens some more to learn its characteristics, then try again next year.

Here's another shot with the Nikon macro lens. I found this member of the It's Tough to be a Bug chorus between Innoventions East and Imagination.

Beautiful photo there Dennis. Not always easy to get your subject sharp with such narrow DoF.

Thanks, Dave. Using that lens was definitely a learning experience.

She must eat a lot of spinach... I've heard it puts a little green in your cheeks.

Flower & Garden 2016 opened this week. To celebrate, here's a shot from the main topary display from 2013.

Sure the "big" festival gets all the press, but the little festival in Germany is still a fun place to hang out. They have topiaries and everything!

I love F&G.... SUBSTANTIALLY more than F&W. Hoping to get there on Saturday 4/16 for the one day to do some photograment. We are making an unexpected trip to FLA to tend to a family matter and I will be on kiddo patrol for a few days so we might be hitting Harry Potter and Epcot while there...
